Thank you for your interest in camp out with the San Diego Great Outdoors. We have secured our campsites for the 2008 season.
Above you will find a list of our camp outs, scheduled dates and contact information. Our campsites are reserved from Friday at
2pm until noon on Monday. You can choose to arrive at any time after 2pm on Friday.

Most of our camp outs are $35 for members and $60 for non members. We are currently offering a discounted rate for non
members of $50 for our camp outs which include a one year membership in the San Diego Chapter of the Great Outdoors. Regular
non member fee is $60 per outing.

We also offer a single night camping fee for those who are unable to join us for the whole weekend and would like to join us for
only one night. Single night camping registration is only offered if our camp out has not sold out.

We are limited to the amount of campers and vehicles permitted on each site by each camp ground. Most camp grounds charge
an additional fee for each vehicle over the limit, which can run $5-10 per night per vehicle, so, carpooling is highly recommended
and each individual is responsible for entry fees and vehicle fees when camping with us or when joining us for a day hike.

Some of our camp outs are RV friendly and the cost is $75-100 per RV. Space is limited and we can only accommodate 2-3 RV's per
outing. Please contact your trip leader for more details.

Our Chapter President, Daniel has been busy remodeling a 1970 Hilltop, pop up trailer which will act as our groups camp kitchen.
Complete with 2 two burner 30 BTU cook tops. It will be completely supplied with all the necessary cooking utensils, pot's and pans
needed for most meal preparation. You will not need to individually pack your own Coleman stoves or cooking utensils unless
you feel it's is necesary, we are trying to make our camp outs a little easier on all of us. You will need to supply your own food,
drinks, snacks, plates, cups, knives, folks and spoons.  If all goes as planned, breakfast will be served each morning and a
potluck will be scheduled for Saturday evenings.

Please feel free to contact your trip leader for any further information. Trip note for each outing will soon follow. To sign up for an
outing just click the desired camp out tab under the Sign Up Now column and it will guide to our Reg Online service.

For an outing with an interest list forming, please e-mail your info to
registration@sandiegogreatoutdoors.com and please
mention which trip and interest list you would like to be added to.

Palomar Mountain-Cedar Grove Camp Out
Friday, May 16th to 19th, 2008

The beautiful forest and mountain meadows of Palomar
Mountain State Park are in northern San Diego County on the
west side of Palomar Mountain. Large pine, fir and cedar trees
make the park one of the few areas in southern California with
a Sierra Nevada-like atmosphere. Elevation within the park
averages 5,000 feet above sea level, making evenings cool
even during the summer. A number of vista points offer
sweeping panoramic views both westerly toward the ocean
and inland toward the desert.

We will be camping out at Cedar Grove Group Campground,
site #2, from Friday at 2pm until Monday at noon. Please join us
for a weekend of camping, hiking and relaxation.

Please register before hand by visiting our website at
